According to the Amanta Hindu calendar, Krishna Paksha Chaturthi of Chaitra month (Purnimanta Vaishakha month) is celebrated as day of Vikata Sankashti. Lord Vikata is one of the Ashta Vinayaka forms of Lord Ganesha. Lord Vikata is worshipped to get freedom from all kinds of known and unknown fears, diseases, grief and troubles. Lord Vikata gives invincibility and fearlessness to His devotees and protects them in the most severe crises.
