Information about Sri Suktha Homam

Sri Suktha Homam invokes Goddess Lakshmi through the 16 revered verses of the Rigvedic Sri Suktam. Performed with Bilva leaves, lotus flowers, and cow ghee to eliminate Alakshmi (misfortune, poverty, and stagnation) and invite enduring prosperity and spiritual effulgence.

This Puja & Homam is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi to pacify negative planetary influences, remove severe health or financial hurdles, and protect your family with authentic Vedic prayers.

The Vedic Power of Sri Suktam

The Sri Suktam is an ancient hymn found in the Rigveda praising the golden Goddess Lakshmi ("Hiranyavarnam Harineem"). Each of the 16 verses represents a specific dimension of auspiciousness, removing distress, debt, and misfortune from one's life.

Offerings of Bilva & Red Lotuses

As prescribed in the Shastras, offerings of fresh Bilva fruits, tender Bilva leaves, red lotus blossoms, and pure cow ghee into the sacred fire invoke instantaneous grace of Goddess Lakshmi, ensuring steady financial growth.

Eradication of Alakshmi (Misfortune)

The 5th verse of Sri Suktam specifically petitions for the destruction of Alakshmi (adversity, poverty, and ill-fortune). Performing this homam cleanses negative financial karma accumulated across generations.
