📿 Rudrabhishek Puja Procedure (Step-by-Step)
As the sacred Rudram mantras echo through the temple, our priest performs the complete procedure. When you book with us, your family's names and gotra are chanted with every offering. Here is the detailed ritual:
1️⃣ Preparation
- • Bathe and wear clean clothes (preferably white or light-colored)
- • Clean the puja space and set up the Shiva Lingam with Yoni facing north
- • Arrange all Abhishek items (Gangajal, milk, curd, honey, ghee, Panchamrit, Bilva leaves) neatly
- • Place Akshata, sandal paste, incense, ghee lamp, fruits and naivedyam
2️⃣ Sankalp (Intention)
Sit calmly and take a vow (Sankalp) stating your name, gotra, purpose, and prayers. Mentally dedicate the ritual to Lord Shiva. Your family's names are chanted during this sacred moment.
3️⃣ Achamani & Abhishek (Sacred Bathing)
Begin with Achamani – sprinkling purified water. Then perform Abhishek in sequence:
- • Water / Gangajal first, followed by milk, curd, honey, ghee, and Panchamrit
- • Pour each substance slowly on the Shiva Lingam
- • Chant Om Namah Shivaya continuously throughout
4️⃣ Mantra Chanting
