Somnath Temple, situated in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Gujarat, is the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas mentioned in the Shiva Purana. The temple has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times throughout history, symbolizing the eternal nature of faith. Located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the temple is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna ended his earthly journey. The current structure was built in the Chalukya style of architecture and was inaugurated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1951.
