Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, is situated in the ancient city of Dwarka in Gujarat. This magnificent temple is one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is dedicated to Lord Krishna in his form as the King of Dwarka. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna established his kingdom in Dwarka after leaving Mathura. The temple stands on the banks of the Gomti River and is believed to be over 2,500 years old, though the current structure was built around the 15th-16th century. The temple features a five-storied main shrine supported by 72 pillars and rises to a height of 78.3 meters. The temple complex houses the main deity of Dwarkadhish (Krishna as King of Dwarka) carved in black stone, adorned with intricate decorations and precious jewels. The temple is a masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture and holds immense spiritual significance for devotees worldwide.
