About Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga
The Mallikarjuna Temple, situated on the Srisailam hill in the Nallamala forest of Andhra Pradesh, is unique among the 12 Jyotirlingas as it is also one of the 18 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses both Lord Mallikarjuna (Shiva) and Goddess Bhramaramba (Shakti), making it a powerful spiritual center. The temple has a rich history dating back to the 2nd century BCE and has been patronized by various dynasties including the Satavahanas, Ikshvakus, Pallavas, Chalukyas, and Vijayanagara rulers.
