The Chalisa now describes the sacred story of Ganesha’s birth. His birth story is considered holy, pure, and highly auspicious. One day Goddess Parvati deeply wished for a son. She performed intense prayers and penance to receive that blessing. After the sacred ritual was completed successfully, a divine child appeared. Lord Ganesha came in a holy and miraculous form. Parvati welcomed the child respectfully as a guest. She served him lovingly with great care and devotion.

Pleased by her devotion, Ganesha granted her a blessing. He recognized the sacrifices she made to obtain a child. She was blessed with a son who would be wise and powerful. The birth happened through divine power beyond ordinary human ways. Ganesha is the leader of divine beings and the treasure of wisdom. He became the first deity worshipped before all auspicious beginnings. After giving the blessing, the divine form disappeared. Soon a beautiful baby appeared in the cradle.

When the baby cried, Parvati lovingly looked at him. Her happiness became limitless after seeing the child’s face. Everyone celebrated joyfully and sang songs of happiness. The gods showered flowers from heaven to bless the occasion. Lord Shiva and Parvati distributed gifts in celebration. Gods and sages arrived to see the divine child. The entire place was decorated beautifully with joy and excitement. Even Lord Shani came to see the new born child.

Shani knew his powerful gaze could cause harm. Because of fear, he avoided looking directly at the child. Parvati became curious about Shani’s strange behavior. She questioned why he was avoiding the celebration. Shani explained his fear with hesitation and humility. He warned that his gaze might unintentionally hurt the child. Parvati did not believe any harm would happen. She insisted that Shani should look at the baby.

As soon as Shani looked at the child, disaster occurred. The child’s head separated from the body and flew away. Parvati collapsed in unbearable sorrow and grief. Her pain was too deep to even describe in words. Sadness and chaos spread throughout Mount Kailash. Everyone realized the child was harmed because of Shani’s gaze. Lord Vishnu immediately acted to save the child. He brought the head of an elephant using his divine powers.

Kartikeya quickly left to travel around the world physically. Ganesh calmly thought of a wiser solution.
