π About Kotilingeshwara Temple
The Kotilingeshwara Temple complex at Kammasandra near Kolar is frankly overwhelming in the best possible way. The main Shiva Linga towers 108 feet above the courtyard, attended by a 35-foot Nandi, and spreading out in every direction are row upon row of smaller Shivalingas donated by devotees β over five lakh of them covering several acres. The scale of accumulated devotion here is genuinely moving once the initial spectacle settles.
