Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple at Gandi, in the Kadapa region of Andhra Pradesh, is a celebrated Hanuman Kshetram maintained by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). According to tradition, the image of Veeranjaneya (the valiant Hanuman) here was drawn and consecrated by Lord Rama himself on a rock face, and the deity is worshipped as a swayambhu (self-manifest) form. The temple is dramatically situated at a gorge (gandi) on the Papagni river, surrounded by hills, and is known for the belief that the idol grows slightly in size over time.
