Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, located in the heart of Madurai city, is one of the most spectacular and historically significant temples in Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi (an avatar of Parvati) and her consort Lord Sundareshwarar (Shiva), this temple is a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture.
