Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Temple (Thiruvonam Star) ✓

This is the dedicated star temple for the Thiruvonam nakshatra (Sanskrit Shravana), ruled by Moon (Chandran). People born under Thiruvonam traditionally worship here as their parihara (remedy) sthalam.

The presiding deity is Lord Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal (Vishnu). Lord Venkatesa is worshipped here in a gracious (prasanna) form as the Thiruvonam star deity, together with Goddess Alarmelmanga, at the sacred Thiruparkadal. The Goddess worshipped here is Alarmelmanga.
